Ultrafast computed Tomography measures the calcium deposits in the coronary arteries. These are then fed into a computer which calculates a Coronary Artery Scan (CAS) score. The higher the score the more the calcium is blocking the coronary arteries. This test allows you to determine artery blockage long before chest pain or other symptoms. This is a much better test than checking cholesterol levels in the blood. Fifty-five patients were studied with different degrees of coronary artery disease for one year and then put on the nutrients in the HeartLife formula. The patients served as their own control group.
